What you can do with Data Explorer

Data Explorer provides a unified view of Snowflake costs with interactive exploration:

• Group costs by various dimensions — view spend by Account, Warehouse, Slingshot Tag, Snowflake Tag, Service Type, or Database
• Filter to what matters — narrow results by any combination of accounts, tags, service types, warehouses, or databases
• Drill down into cost spikes — click through from Account to Service Type to Warehouse to pinpoint root causes
• Attribute shared resource costs — choose how to allocate tag-based costs (by warehouse or by user)
• Export data — download the underlying table to CSV for further analysis in external tools
• Save and manage views — save your exploration state as a named view, load it later, or share it via URL
• Interactive chart and table — click chart elements to filter the table; select table rows to highlight the chart

Access Data Explorer

To open Data Explorer:

1. From the left navigation menu, select Data Explorer.
2. Choose your date range and time interval (day, week, or month).
3. Select a Group By dimension to start exploring costs.
