Auto apply
Auto Apply accepts schedule recommendations for a warehouse, bypassing manual review. Once enabled, Slingshot applies new recommendations as soon as they are generated (weekly or monthly).
How it works
The Slingshot Tenant Admin has permissions to turn Auto Apply on or off for warehouses.
Enabling or disabling Auto Apply
The Tenant Admin can turn Auto Apply on or off from any of the following pages:
Warehouses listing: Select the warehouse(s) using the checkbox(es), then use the Auto Apply toggle.
Warehouse details: Use the toggle in the Settings panel.
Recommendation details: Use the Auto Apply toggle on the page.
A confirmation toast appears once Auto Apply is enabled. To turn off Auto Apply, follow the same flow.
Recommendation rules
Positive savings (Cost savings > $0): Recommendations are applied automatically.
Negative or neutral savings (Cost savings ≤ $0): Recommendations are skipped. You can still review and apply them manually from the Optimization Hub.
Identifying Auto Apply issues
If a recommendation fails to apply automatically, an status icon replaces the standard Auto Apply icon on the Warehouses listing page. Hover over the icon to view the issue details:

Requests on a warehouse with Auto Apply on
Users can still submit requests to change a warehouse’s schedule or settings while Auto Apply is enabled, and these requests follow the standard approval workflow. However, the next scheduled Auto Apply update (weekly or monthly) overwrites any manual changes.
If you enable Auto Apply while a recommendation is pending, Slingshot immediately cancels any pending manual change requests, and applies the recommendation afterwards.
